That sounds like a high pressure sales pitch…and it is! In the last newsletter, we had an article on HC Dodd who is retiring from painting and to thank her for her long participation in Watermedia and for helping us establish our reputation as a national show, the MTWS Board of Directors elected her to Honorary status. Well, she has turned the tables back on us by donating several raffle book size paintings. After a lot of thought, Margo and I decided that our members should have an additional opportunity to receive one of these wonderful paintings. |
(And yes, there is a beautiful one in the raffle book) We are putting one up for silent auction beginning with the delivery of this newsletter. Your bids can be sent to the MTWS PO Box 3002, Missoula, MT 59806 or to the mtwsvoermans2@yahoo.com email address. Margo and I will monitor the bids and will notify each person if they are outbid. Deadline is November1, 2009. We feel this is such an exciting opportunity and such an extremely generous gesture on the part of HC Dodd. What a wonderful group of people artists are! |
